How long after cancelling will my domain name be available through another provider?

    How long after cancelling will my domain name be available through another provider? For example, I was going to go with a Premium membership on here, but decided that Google had more of the features I needed. How long until WordPress gives up the domain I requested and allows me to use it on Google?

    If you cancelled the same day then I believe the domain will be released within 5 days.
    PS; What was the feature(s) that made you decide Google was a better choice for building a website? An included email address? Something else?
