How long after purchasing guided transfer will someone contact me?

  Just purchased a guided transfer, and I’m wondering on average how long it takes to be contacted by a support person via email? Is there anything I can do and have ready in the meantime? Register with a new host (dreamhost, mediatemple, etc)? Can I choose a new theme or should i just wait until the transfer is complete?
