How long before my icon shows up on the postings?

  I created an icon for my blog – but it doesn’t seem to be showing up when the blog is viewed by others. How longs does this take?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Gravatar/blavatar (favicon) https://en.support.wordpress.com/blavatars/ images do not show up instantly after uploading them. The images are cached and frequently take several days to display after a change.

  Thanks for the quick reply. This is my first time doing a blog with wordpress so I’m not sure of the terminology? And I am starting with the free version.

  Will the icon I selected replace the nondescript green square on the blog view that everyone see?

  That is an identicon and it will be replaced with a gravatar.

  Know that there is only a single gravatar image and a single email address for every username account, and that a wordpress.com account and a gravatar account are one in the same thing. Gravatar support docs are at http://en.gravatar.com/support/

  Gravatar/blavatar (favicon) images do not show up instantly after uploading them. Gravatar images are cached and frequently take several days to display after a change.

  Dashboard → Settings → General

  *Replace “http://INSERT_NAME_OF_BLOG” below with the actual name of your blog in the URL

  http://INSERT_NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-general.php

  Do not keep uploading!
  Do not forget to select an image rating.
