How long can my blog stay online while inactive?

I created my blog for my semester in France, but now my semester is over and I am back home. I will no longer be posting but would love to keep my blog online so I can go back and read it and so in the future anyone who searches for information on Toulouse can find it from my blog. How long can inactive WP blogs stay online? I still plan to moderate and check for comments, I will not “abandon” it.

Current policy is your blog will last until the end of the internet or WordPress.COM which ever comes first – there is no requirement to post anything – there are many blogs from 2006 or so that only have one Post –
