How long do posts stay in the archive?
-
I was just wondering this and I’m not even sure if this is the right place to ask it but how far into the past does WordPress keep posts in the archive? I know some programs allow you to change how long the archive will restore the posts (60 days, 3 months, 6 months, year, etc) but does WordPress allow this?
I can’t find anything on this anywhere.

Posts remain until you delete them or you really, really piss off the staff by breaking the rules and then THEY delete them.
-
And what do you mean by “Archive” and “Restore?” Are we talking about backups? Because your archives are just the parts of your blog that were posted in previous months.
-
No I meant archives. So they just stay up on your archive page until you delete them yourself? Because some blog software deletes all posts automatically after they’ve been up for a specific amount of time

They stay there until you or staff deletes them. And staff won’t delete them unless you’ve broken the rules and ignored their attempts at communication.
