How long do WordPress sites remain active/live?

  Do WordPress blog pages remain forever or do they become dormant after a specific period of time?

  WordPress blogs do not expire due to inactivity. The only way for your blog to “go away” would be for you to delete it, for it to be suspended to to Terms of Service violations, or for WordPress to cease to exist as a company.
