How long does a blog stay online

    Hi,
    My dad had a blog on your site. He passed away and my question is how long a blog will stay online? And how I could keep it online?

    Hello –

    I am sorry to hear about your Dad passing! Do you know the address or URL of the blog that he ran with our service?

    In general, a free site would never expire, so it’d remain online and searchable indefinitely, or as long as the internet exists.

    A custom domain, one that looks like mysite.com versus mysite.wordpress.com would need to be renewed each year. But even then, if the domain expires, it would revert back to the free site and still be online.
