How long does it take for a deleted blog to disappear?

How long does it take for a blog to be deleted after going through the permanent delete process? I followed the instructions to delete my blog and clicked the confirmation link in the email but the blog still appears.

Are you referring to this blog which is linked to your username? Or another blog?

If you have used this guide to delete the blog then to complete the final step, you ought to have received a verification link in an email sent to the email address registered for email notications for the appropriate username account.

Yes, as I wrote in my original post in this thread:

My blog has still not been deleted. It appears from a search of the Forum that other WordPress members are having the same problem.

I have permanently deleted my blog- and clicked on the confirmation link emailed to me to do this butharrogatereporter.wordpress.com is still there for other wordpress users or people who know the URL to read.
Please can it be deleted?

I can’t delete the blog without a request from the account that owns it.

Hi there- I did own that blog but closed it down at the weekend. But it’s still there.
I transferred my post to girlharrogate.wordpress.com which I am now using.I got an email from you to click on a link to definitely delete harrogatereporter.wordpress.com and I did that

I just went back to the site I deleted and tried to log in to see if it would let me- and this is the message that came up:
User harrogatereporter Cannot Access the Dashboard Requested
You are logged in as “harrogatereporter” and do not not have the necessary privileges to access the dashboard for “harrogatereporter”. If you are not “harrogatereporter”, please log out, and log back in with your username. If you are “harrogatereporter” and you need access, please ask an administrator of the site to invite you.Is that any help?

I am girlharrogate- that’s my new wordpress name!
I did initially try to transfer the site but thought I’d failed so closed it down.
My girlharrogate blog has suer name stellaerratus (mainly because I’m still getting used to using wordpress and can’t figure out how to change my username to girlharrogate from my initial choice.
How can I send you a request showing you I’m girlharrogate?
