How long does it take for a deleted image to no longer be live?
-
Hi there,
If I deleted an image on my blog – how long would it take for it to no longer show as “live content”.
I have deleted an image from my blog.
When I do a google image search for that image name – the image comes up. When I click on the URL and put it into the Google Removal Tool, the feedback is that the content is still live on the web. But I know that I deleted the image.Does this mean that the deletion of the image takes some time to “take” or to be effective?
How long does it take for the deleted information to no longer show up as live content on google?thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

To keep things running quickly around here, files are held in multiple caches through a separate system. These caches are usually cleared within 3 days.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Deleting blogs and/or blog content does not remove any indexed items from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months. To completely remove an entire page from Google search results: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/1663419?hl=en
What is the image URL please? When did you delete it?
