How long does it take for a domain name to be free after the user deletes the it
-
I requested one of the blogger to change his domain address since I wanted to use it and he hadn’t used it since 2008. He happily helped and deleted and now when I open the account, it shows that the author deleted it. But when I try changing my domain name to the one he was using, it still says the domain address is reserved. Please let me know how long does it take for the domain name to be re-usable again once you delete the site.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

about two years – that is a change in the old policy from never reusing a URL – you should have ask the blogger to transfer the site to your account – takes less time than deleting a site
there are several warnings that deleting a site means that it is gone forever

Sorry but a deleted blog can’t be transferred
what is the blog URL you are having trouble with?

conditionsapply.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this site.
Sorry but the name is probably gone for about two years unless WordPress.COM changes their deletion policy
