How long does it take the alt text to show up?

    Hello!

    I’m adding alt text to images and editing existing one, but it’s not showing on the website when I refresh. Could anyone tell me how long it takes for these changes to be visible, or whether I have to do something else to make them visible?

    Hi! The Alt-text is shown whenever the image is not being shown correctly to the end user, or if someone is using accessibility options (for example, is read aloud by screen readers, helping visually impaired users navigate your website).

    I guess you’re trying to show a caption under the image, right?

    To do so, enable the Caption on the block’s (the image block) toolbar, and type the caption in the Add caption box below the image in the editor:
