How long does it take to get username available again?

  As title, How long does it take to get username available again?
  For example, someone delete their username, delete there site at xxx.wordpress.com (xxx is example username)
  So, how long after they delete, i can register it username?

  Hi there, the support guide on recycling blog addresses https://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/ says that a site may become available 2 years after deletion by the author provided it does not pose a username or other technical problem. The only way to know if that site address is available is to try to register it. If you can’t, then it is not available.

  WordPressdotcom Username accounts and/or sites never expire regardless of the last entry on a site, so if you see an open comment or contact form on an active site that hasn’t been updated in quite some time, you can leave the site owner a message and ask them to transfer the site to you.   If they don’t answer you or agree, that is the end of it. WordPressdotcom will not turn over an existing site to another user.
