how long is domain unavailable

  I just refunded my Domain. I plan on buying it from another hosting company but it says unavailable. How long does this process take?

  Hello,

  Yes if you just refunded your domain then it will need some time to become available again, but sometimes you might have to wait a long time.

  If your goal was to use a completely different hosting company, then you should have just transferred your domain from here to your other hosting company.

  This would have been a much easier/faster process.

  If you cancelled a domain here at WordPress.com within 48 hours of purchasing it then it MAY become available for you to register it again elsewhere in a week or so. I have tagged this thread for a response from a member of staff to confirm your options.

  Hi sokolovskyeng,

  As sokoeng.com was cancelled so soon after registration, it should be released back into the pool of available domains in around five days.

  We don’t receive any notification when this happens so I recommend frequently checking to see whether it has become available, then register it again as soon as possible.

  m2keng.com was only mapped to WordPress.com — it can be pointed to another host by changing the name servers with your domain provider.
