how long is our blog "good for"?
-
Hi – we have a travel blog that we’ve been using through wordpress for the past several years. We post a lot of pictures here, etc. and use a generic wordpress.com domain. If we don’t plan to update this blog for a few years but still want to keep the posts/pictures, does it ever expire? In short, if I go back to this blog in 5-10 years, will the posts and pictures still be there? If not, how can we save / preserve them? Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi, this is how you backup and save the contents of your blog to your own computer http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/#backups
Generally, though, your blog will last as long as WordPress.com does (hopefully for a long, long time!), provided you don’t delete or alter it in any way. You might want to keep your username login credentials safe as well, in case you still want to do things with your blog in the future.

Sorry, is there a forum rule that I am unaware of re: linking?@gschultz1
Sorry for hijacking your thread with this discussion -

It’s not a rule but if you keep acting like a Staff wannabe here :) http://automattic.com/work-with-us/ then it doesn’t look good on you to have your username linked to a site that’s not hosted here. It may appear as though you are here answering questions rather than answering questions on the WordPress.org support forum answering questions because you are promoting the site linked to your username.
