how long should it take for a domain purchased through wordpress to be seen

    Yesterday evening I purchased a domain through WordPress (favourite-poems.com). I can go to the site by entering favourite-poems.com into my browser’s address bar, however the address which shows (when I check the address bar, once in the site is the standard wordpress.com address rather than favourite-poems.com. How long should it take for the address shown to become favourite-poems.com rather than the standard wordpress.com site please? Do I need to do anything?

    Hello there,
    This is not an instantaneous process and what you see is normal behavior. I’m in Canada and I see the change. It can take up to 72 hours for domain name changes to propagate throughout the internet. We have no control over when search site chooses to flush their DNS caches.
