how long till a cancelled domain is released

  Hi there!
  I just cancelled my premium package and .com domain name.
  How long will it take for the domain name to be released into the world again?

  Hi Natasha,

  This normally takes somewhere between 1-2 weeks however it can take long. Once the domain is cancelled from our side, we really have no way of knowing.

  Alternatively, I could try to restore the domain to your WordPress.com account. If we went this route, you would still be abel to use it with another service and eventually transfer it to another registrar.
