how long until email is available

I signed up for domain plus the google email support 24+ hours ago, and still have not received an email to be able to activate my new email account. How long does this take? Can you resend the email?

Hey there!
It appears as if you’re well on your way to having your new email account up and running.
There are two steps that still appears incomplete. Take a look at this link:

You need to attain your site verification code, and add it to your DNS records (step 10). When you’re done, make sure you also add the last TXT record (step 17).

I followed the steps, and there are a few issues. The steps listed may be out dated as I did not see any pop ups where I can select my domain as “other”. If I type in my domain, it says it is already in use. So i filed a ticket with google, but there is a lot of information in their form that I dont know yet.
I am wondering if I was supposed to be sent an email when my google apps were activated after I purchased it with my new domain through wordpress, and I have not received that yet.
I also have five MX entries in my “Edit DNS” list, which seems weird based on the instructions in the link.
