How Long will it take my website to delete?

I recently purchased a website via wordpress.com called rapvineyard.com. I was wondering how long it will take for this site to formerly be deleted, because I want to re-register it. Thanks!

Hi @rapvineyard, if you cancelled within 2 days of registering, it will be released within a few business days.

Okay, it can be a few business days.. normally it goes a bit faster than that.
At this point I can contact the registrar to see if they will return it to our account, in which case you would need to re-pay for it. You could point it to your new host, but it would be registered here.
Or you can give it a few more business days. Let us know what you’d like to do.

Hello, I have heard that I might not be able to use the domain ever again, so I think I will attempt to re-pay for it. Is there anyway you could contact the registrar and see if they will return it to my account?
