How many Drafts of this page have been saved?
-
Based on my last forum questions and answers, I’m changing my edit style to save more drafts.
I did some checking when things are saved which appears to be less than I expected.
Can you please elaborate about the Revisions history when performing certain actions.
The post is this one:
http://wiert.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=15206&action=edit
http://wiert.me/?p=15206&preview=trueI see only 2 revisions, but I did 4 save actions:
http://wiert.wordpress.com/wp-admin/revision.php?revision=15207&action=edit
http://wiert.wordpress.com/wp-admin/revision.php?revision=15208&action=editWhy?
This is what I did:
– Add title
– Set publishing date
– Push Schedule (save 1)
– Change status into Draft
– Press Update (save 2)
– Press Save Draft (save 3)
– Add text
– Press Save Draft again (save 4)–jeroen
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
Two of the four actions you performed do not prompt a new save action. From your list:
– Set publishing date
– Push ScheduleClicking “Schedule” does not save your file, it only changes your planned publish date. Think of it as another edit to your post.
– Press Update
– Press Save DraftSince pressing “Update” saved your post for the first time, pressing “Save Draft” immediately after will not create another revision as nothing had changed since your last save.
– Add text
– Press Save Draft againClicking “Save Draft” created your second saved revision since you changed the post since your last save.
I hope that clarifies things! Let me know if you have any questions.

It would be great if “Push
Schedulebutton” would imply a save action.I think that is the reason I lost this one in the past: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/large-portions-of-a-scheduled-post-lost?replies=6#post-1278239

Thanks for your suggestion. We’ve registered your suggestion and will keep it in mind for future features and updates!
For now, just make sure to either “save draft” or “publish/update” to save your revisions. You can always go back to past post revisions following this workflow.
I hope that clarifies things!
