How many viewers can I invite to a private blog?

  In the dashboard there seems to be some suggestion that there’s a maximum of 10 people (email addresses) that can be invited, is this correct or am I missing something?

  There is no limit to the total number. That limitaion of sending only 10 invitations at one point in time is a spammer protection that’s built-in. You simply send 10 at a time and wait and then do 10 more.

  I’ve just been looking further and read that “All viewers added to a private blog must have a WordPress.com account”, I imagine I’m NOT missing anything here, and anyone invited WILL have to create one?

  That’s correct. How could the software identify them as legitimate users of a private blog if that was not the case? http://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/#invite-people-to-view-your-private-blog
