How may I more accurately find out how many people read my blogs?
-
I believe that most of the few people who read me do so under their own “reader” screen, rather than going to my “blog” directly. These readings apparently do not then register as a “visit” in my stats. My ego is therefore crushed. I see that some blogs I visit or some FP’ed blogs require the reader to actually visit their blog to finish reading. How may I join this elite club so that I can get a more accurate “visits” count? Thank you and thanks for this fun hobby with the funny name.

I appreciate that, captnmike, but it doesn’t seem to have worked for me for some reason. Either that or people have stopped reading me. But I think it’s still messed up because I’m getting more “likes” than “reads”.
There was a similar thread to this back in November that I found the other day. A lot of folks were unhappy with it, and it sounds like the WordPress folks are trying to cater mostly to those who only surf the web from mobile phones.
I was hoping to also get an answer directly from some WordPress people. We shall see. -
Use the Read More Tag – see above – it will also make your front page much easier to navigate – see the site linked to my name for how I use the tag –
People can like a Post but never visit your site – see below for more info on that “feature”
