How may I move the domain name you entered is already mapped to a WordPress.com to a different one?
-
I use WillWright.me for my most current blog, but would like to switch it out for another one, WrightsWords.com, which I already own via GoDaddy.com. When I try to effect this, WordPress tells me “the domain name you entered is mapped to a WordPress.com blog”. That is a new and mysterious error message.
This change should be simple but it’s anything but! Please help me.

Hey there!
When I try to effect this, WordPress tells me “the domain name you entered is mapped to a WordPress.com blog”. That is a new and mysterious error message.
You are receiving an error message because your domain WrightsWords.com is still mapped to your site, wrightaboutfilm.wordpress.com. This shouldn’t be the case, as your mapping expired in November 2014. I have removed that expired mapping from your site so the domain can be mapped to another WordPress.com site.
I hope this helps! If you have any other concerns, drop me a note. Thanks much!

Hello, Robyn:
Thank you. While the situation you described is not news to me thank you for fixing that problem, which should not have existed.
