How may I quickly locate a 'page' in my wordpress.com, in order to modify it?
-
I use to write pages without a title, in my wordpress.com. Frequently, as time goes by, I need to modify or delete, some of them.
Then, is when I find a big problem: I put the url in ‘search pages’ and I never can find the page… (because it does not have a title, right?)I have made this question before but, unfortunately I didn’t recieve a response.
I also know that pages have a number ID (ex: /1685 in the url). How could I quickly locate a page without title in my blog???
Thank you in advance!!

Sorry, but I’m still waiting for a response.
Would you please help me with this?
Than you all.

While you are logged in, open the page directly. Scroll down just a little and look for a toolbar at the bottom right. If you are logged in as the page author or as an administrator on the blog, you should see a pencil icon that will open the page for editing directly. There are possible other routes, but I think the edit icon on the front end will be the quickest way for your case.

Hi, thanks for your response, but, I’m afraid that it doesn’t help me at all. Maybe I did not explain correctly in English. I’ll try it in Spanish.
Yo soy la autora y administradora de mi blog wordpress.com. Siempre escribo “paginas”, no “posts”.
Me explico ahora?
Gracias!

Hi @albaraffaelli, there isn’t a way to search by the ID. But if you can see the page on your site, you will have an edit button. For example:
By the way, is there a reason you’re not setting titles? It makes your pages harder to find in search engines, too.

Thank you for your reply!
I’ll give it a try.
I didn’t know that if you don’t set titles people can’t find your pages in search engines… thank you for this data.Three more things:
a) “there isn’t a way to search by the ID”. What is supposed you do write in “seach pages”, then? Titles?
b) ” is there a reason you’re not setting titles?” Yes, page’s aesthetic. If you set the title, it appears again in the page in a size and characters (fonts and so on) that you can’t modifiy and it makes the page appear grotesque, inelegant, the title size is absolutely disproportionate. Am I clear?
That’s why I choose set, for instance: https://albaraffaelli.wordpress.com/recursos/ , with links to pages with no title (ex: https://albaraffaelli.wordpress.com/recursos/que-tan-arriesgado-eres-a-la-hora-de-encaminarte-hacia-tus-objetivos-o-proyectos/) instead pages with links (https://albaraffaelli.wordpress.com/publicaciones/) to pages with title (ex: https://albaraffaelli.wordpress.com/publicaciones/para-que-te-resultara-util-recibir-coaching/). Am I more clear now?
c) Is there a solution you can recommend me in order to modify Title size, font and so on?? (instead usual that has a word template?)
I want to leave this situation like an improvement opportunity for the wordpress.com team to review.
Thank you, and I’ll be waiting for the responses.

You could search by the title or by the content of the post.
Yes, page’s aesthetic.
Got it. If you ever decide to get WordPress Premium, let us know. We could show you the CSS to remove the page titles when you want to.
