  How much is a site redirect – how much does it cost to move redirect my myblog.wordpress.com to myblog.com (for example). I’ve been looking for ages, and no reference to cost – the Store says nothing.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You need domain mapping for that, which is $18 per year.

  Thank you for your responses. So, $18 or $13. TimeThief, actually, the search box didn’t work well for me. And, the fact that I had to spend close to an hour searching for this answer before sending a query to the forum is one of several reasons wordpress.org is looking to be the more favorable option. The database referred me to the Store at my Dashboard. The pricing should have logically, intuitively, been there. It was not. I feel the run-around is part the overall SEO plan – increasing the site’s stickiness – whatever- it wasn’t helpful. A rather demeaning comment to a first time forum user is an unpleasant welcome indeed. If the search box worked for you, fine. It didn’t for me. Don’t assume I didn’t try my best before casting your judgment. Bob – thanks for your more straightforward and helpful response.

  Thanks, always happy to help. I think you may be confusing site redirect with domain upgrading. Domain mapping is $13 per year, the same as a site redirect upgrade, but if you don’t have a domain, that’s an additional $5.

  Domain Mapping – changes your-site.wordpress.com to your-site.com

  Site redirect – when you want to send traffic from your-site.wordpress.com – as in you are moving off WordPress.COM and don’t want visitors to get lost –

  two different things, but sound a bit the same
