How much time do I need for the guided transfer?

Hi –
I have a WordPress.com blog and have purchased the domain name from Godaddy.
I want to change this, so that GoDaddy hosts the website, with the use of WordPress.org software.
I plan to purchase the Guided Transfer from WordPress.com. The current status expires on March 1. Does this give me enough time? And how can I talk to an actual WordPress.com employee to find this out? Should I just buy the Transfer? Supposedly they will contact me.
Either way, what are the steps that I need to take? Do I need to buy something from Godaddy first? If so, what is the product I need to purchase?

The mapping you currently have won’t affect your transfer, you just need to direct the name servers through GoDaddy to the name servers of your hosting account.

Can you let me know how much time I need for it? If I buy the Guided Transfer today, will that be enough?

You can purchase it at any time, your domain mapping’s expiration on March 1 won’t affect it.
