How Often to Post?

Again, I am new to WordPress and I’m trying to decide how often I should post. I have a blog that is noncommercial, just for fun, but I also really want to get it out there and get a big following. I want to post often enough that people don’t have to wait around, but I don’t want to post so often that it’s too much. In your experience, what is a happy medium?

I blogged daily for my first 100 days or so and daily blogging is something a lot of people try to do. However, it all depends on how often you can put out quality material. If you post daily and the results are weaker than you’d get by posting 2-4 times per week, you’re better off with the 2-4 post per week schedule.

If you want a big following, post four to six times a day and never, even on holidays, less than once a day. If you want to blog for fun, just blog whenever you feel like it. As you can see, these things are hard to reconcile.

Clearly you speak from experience, raincoaster. :) I couldn’t muster my Muse to do that…not even in retirement (later).
For any blogger: think of writing and composed quality blog posts.

Add a subscribe Widget somewhere so someone that finds your site and likes what you do can easily get a notice of when you make a new Post
