How Private is a Private Blog?
-
Question about privacy that I can’t find an answer for.
I found how a person can set their blog to private and invited users only. However, when you post a blog, there are choices on the right about private, public, etc. again. If a site is already set to private only, why are those choices even there? How private is private???
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you have a private site, other people can verify your site exists but unless you invite them to read it, they can’t. They get a landing page that says Sign In to read the Protected Blog.
If you set a particular Post as private, only you can read it, whether it’s a public blog or not. If you set a post as password-protected and it’s a public blog, only people with the password can read it. If it’s a private blog, only people you Invited to read the blog who also have the password can read it.
