How put Yahoo Google MSN feed readers on sidebar

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hey everyone,

I’m new to wordpress, but I understand the purpose of RSS feeds. I see some blogs with icons on their sidebars that allow readers to add the blogger’s feed to a Yahoo, Google, MSN,
bloglines, etc. feed reader/aggregator that the reader has an account with.

So the reader just clicks the icon and it takes them to Yahoo or Google, etc where they log in at it adds the bloggers feed (my feed) to their reader account.

    How do I do that?

Bonus points: How do I add social bookmarking icons/links so readers of my blog can post my post on an SB site?

    Thanks for the help

I added a textbox widget to my theme’s sidebar, then copied the html code and pasted it in the textbox. A very helpful blog on WordPress how-to’s is lorelle.wordpress.com.

Sounds easy enough. uhhhhhh……what html code did you copy into the widget?

Where did you get the html. What buttons/links does it include?

I went to lorelle.wordpress.com and yes lots of info, but I didn’t see anything that was copy & paste easy for wordpress.com plug-in.

If you could explain a bit more would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

Holy, Hell, Pain in the ass. I’ve been trying to figure this out (figured it would be easy), for awhile now. I kept running into the same road blocks regarding plug ins, and half assed answers. Finally, I think I got it figured. Sure enough it was easy took only a few seconds (after hours of searching)

    Good Luck.
