how release default wp domain to allow self hosting?
-
I set up a wordpress.com account with the domain name used for self-hosting. After mapping another name for primary purposes, I now want to release the default Blog name (see below) so that it can be used again independently of wordpress.com.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

the name quoted above is the new mapped domain, now made primary, the blog I need removing is manyagem.wordpress.com

still tearing my hair out over this one. It’s my domain, manyagem.com it’s pointing at my web servers but because I deleted the blog, all I get is redirected to manyagem.wordpress.com telling me the blog has been deleted; can someone help me understand what I need to do to release it from the clutches of wordpress.com?

Hi there!
It looks like you were able to sort this out in the community forums:

Let me know if I can help with anything else!

Thanks for looking in, but sadly no, I’m still stuck. You might like to see my latest reply to tandava108. My domain name seems to be hooked to a page that doesn’t own it.

Oops! I’m sorry, I didn’t read all the way through your last response in that thread.
You’ll either need to contact your registrar or your current host to solve this problem.
It looks like your domain is registered through Freeparking Domain Registrars:
http://who.is/whois/manyagem.com
There is nothing on our side that is making your domain direct to WordPress.com. And since your domain is not managed with WordPress.com, I can’t troubleshoot this issue with you.
Let me know if I can provide you (or your registrar/host) with any more information to help solve your DNS issues!
