How restore to orignal/normally configured screens after accidental compression?
-
Accidentally pressed Ctrl plus another unknown key while trying to edit a page. That immediately resulted in the compression of everything on that edit page screen, from top to bottom, leaving all of it in a very narrow band of very tiny print too small to read, completely across perhaps the upper 15% of that edit screen.
The page being edited was also compressed in type size similar that of the above, but with the addition of left to right compression of everything down to a narrow (about 35% wide) column in the middle of the screen. Now, the entire content of the website looks that way.
How can the original or normally configured screens be restored?

What more “content” is required than what has been submitted above by way of explanation of the existing problem?

Another possibility is low resolution, which is bumping those down to a single column. Can you increase your screen resolution? If your browser window is at least 850px wide, you’ll still see both columns. If you decrease the width below 850px, the layout will switch to single column to better accommodate the editor.

Thank you for the quick response! It sounds reasonable to try.
Nevertheless, how, pray tell, does one who is relatively computer illiterate “check (their) browser ZOOM setting”? -
Exactly which browser and version of it are you using please? if you do not know check here http://supportdetails.com

The resulting narrowed website screen is already a single column.
The edit page screen is the only one that is in the narrow band up and down which covers the whole screen left to right.

@mprewitt2012 – your site looks normal to me, which tells me you probably inadvertently changed your browser’s zoom settings as @timethief suggested.
This page has a reference that will help you reset your browser to it’s original zoom setting (scroll down for Firefox):
