  Is my work safe from people stealing it or copying it? I am a basic user but should I upgrade to ensure protection? Do I need a plug in?

  Hi @garyrosetravels,

  This is a big topic on the internet. Content creators here on WordPress.com and all over the internet work hard to create original works, and it’s as easy as a Copy and Paste command to have all that work stolen. That’s a vulnerability of the Internet, unfortunately.

  But, fear not! Since this is a universal issue on the internet, there are also lots of resources and best practices to minimize content theft. We have a help article with steps that you can use to minimize and take down theft if it occurs:

  Prevent Content Theft

  Upgrading your plan won’t change the content’s availability to the Internet, so that step itself will not protect you more or less.
