How should I log in?
-
I’ve been asking for a year, with no useful response. I can’t log in. The primary email address you have for my blog died, so I can’t access proof of ownership there. My password, deliberately difficult, disappeared when a laptop died and Apple’s Time Capsule refused to let the replacement computer access the backup. Most of the blog content is stored elsewhere, so one option is simply to move the blog to someplace with enough employees to answer questions like this: How do I log in?
The blog, and primary email address, are under a pen name, on the theory that this would make it more difficult for a fatwa to reach me.
Ah, I see that I have been directed back to the public forum, which has not been able to help. so much for reaching the support staff. Do I have to ‘upgrade’ to reach the support staff? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
The last resort on the Account Recovery support page is to use the Account Recovery Form. However, the form requires you to provide proof of ownership. Unless that can be provided it may be unlikely that access to the account can be recovered.Do I have to ‘upgrade’ to reach the support staff?
No upgrade is necessary to reach support staff. You may add a “modlook” tag to the sidebar of this topic to call for staff attention.

What is the URL of the site you cannot log in to?
We provide support here only for WordPress.COM hosted blogs.
We do not provide support for WordPress.ORG software installs.
Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ and know the account recovery process linked to above is only for WordPress.COM hosted blogs and no others.I’m sorry but we cannot provide accurate answers until your confirm the exact URL starting with http:// so we can verify where it is hosted. Please do that now.
