How soon a blog appears in search

    For information, can you please tell me how soon a new website with a blog page will be available for other users to subscribe to?

    I tried this earlier today using the reader search and could not get it to pop up in my search despite being public. Then sometime shortly after it appears and I can subscribe.

    Am I correct in thinking that this will happen shortly after going public?
