How to access files after domain transfer

    I had a Premium plan and then upgraded to a Business plan. I accidentally cancelled the Business plan, which put me in a free plan instead of going back to Premium. Now I cannot select one of the paid plans to upgrade to; when I go to the Plans section on My Site, it lists the plan, but there is no button to select.

    I also transferred my domain from WordPress (Automattic) to Bluehost. I did not transfer files, nor back them up myself, so I need to contact WordPress to see if they have a backup.

    How do I reinstate my paid plan so I can use live chat?

    Sorry about the lack of replies to your emails. We switched our support system recently and there has been some snags.

    Just to confirm, you want to go back to using the Premium Plan?

    To do that, I’ll have to revert your site to how it was before you upgraded to Business and installed plugins. This will remove any content you added after doing that. If you had added content after upgrading to the Business Plan, please confirm, then I can export it from your site before reverting.

    To revert I’ll also need to temporarily point your domain back to WordPress.com, so the domain will not show your Bluehost site while I’m busy with this process.

    No content has been added, so there is nothing to lose.

    All of that sounds fine. What do you need me to do?

  • Please log in at Bluehost, and switch your domain’s name servers to the following:

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM

    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM

    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

    Let me know once you’ve done that, and then please sit tight. It will take a few hours for the name servers to update before I can revert your site. Once it’s done, I’ll let you know and you can switch the name servers back to Bluehost.

  • Thanks. It looks like the name servers have not finished updating yet. I’ll check again in an hour or two, and then first thing tomorrow morning.

  • Okay, I’ve reverted your site, and it now has the Premium Plan again.

    As you’ve transferred your domain out I’ve disconnected it from the site as well, but you can reconnect it with the free domain mapping included in Premium, or you can use the free domain credit for a new domain.

    If you want, you can now point your domain’s name servers back to Bluehost.
