How to access site css file

Hi hope you can help me. I am working on a site hosted at wordpress.com for free. I have done one upgrade to be able to use css. However I don’t seem to be able to do much with it. The site is like locked in a safe and impossible to access. If I try to style a paragraph the p tag disappears, so do the headings that I try to use.
It is very frustrating and I am getting discouraged. I have installed word press on my pc in order to test the site but it is even worst, if I change the styles in the css file the site is not affected at all, what is going on? I appreciate your help.Thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you go to the CSS section of the customiser, which for your site should be here, then you can type your code into the text area and preview it live to make sure it’s having the desired effect.

Can you try saving some of the code you’ve been trying to use (and paste it here too for me to see) and let me know you’re trying to achieve – then I can see if I can give you some more specific advice.

Just a couple of notes – you can’t change the CSS file – so if you are changing the CSS file your blog is not at WordPress.COM – the way CSS changes work here is you ADD CSS code into the customizer section and it is scanned last – and last scanned rules

Trying to work on your PC then transfer changes to here is also probably not the best –
