Use the tag more than any other blogger. And don’t use it inappropriately, or staff will delete you from the global tag system.

Hello Mobilglobal and Raincoaster…….

I do not want to be deleted from the global tag system, so please tell me, How does WordPress define “inappropriately”? Then I can make sure I don’t do it!

Actually, mobilglobal wrote something that I do not understand. What does the following mean:
<b> how to achieve the no.1 ranking at wordpress.com/tag/mobile </b>
<b> becoz i can see the first appear is (with the bigger size of blog picture) http://eatingalone.wordpress.com/2009/10/03/pregnant-again/</b>
Thank you.

Spam. Gaming the system.

mobilglobal was referring to the fact that
http://eatingalone.wordpress.com/2009/10/03/pregnant-again/
appears as the first and featured blog on the global tag list
http://en.wordpress.com/tag/mobile/There’s nothing on that blog even remotely related to mobile phones, which is the topic of mobileglobal’s blog, yet the tag ‘mobile’ is used on every single post on eatingalone’s blog, which is why the eatingalone blog appears as the first and featured blog on the ‘mobile’ global tag list.

Until staff realizes and has some words with the blogger. Which will happen if someone reports them as Spam

Someone needs to check the definitions of mobile. It isn’t ONLY short for “mobile phone.”
mobile
adjective |ˈmōbəl; -ˌbēl; -ˌbīl|able to move or be moved freely or easily : he has a major weight problem and is not very mobile | highly mobile international capital.
• (of the face or its features) indicating feelings with fluid and expressive movements : her mobile features working overtime to register shock and disapproval.
• (of a store, library, or other service) accommodated in a vehicle so as to travel around and serve various places.
• (of a military or police unit) equipped and prepared to move quickly to any place it is needed : mobile army combat units.
• able or willing to move easily or freely between occupations, places of residence, or social classes : an increasingly mobile and polarized society.
noun |ˈmōˌbēl|
a decorative structure that is suspended so as to turn freely in the air. -
Start a new tag called mobile phones. If you see people posting they are pregnant in that tag, then you have something to complain about. With “mobile” you do not.

hello all — somehow i *just* came across this thread and was surprised to see i had even made that list. i don’t use tags in my posts, i use categories — though i have to say i don’t quite understand the difference and wordpress doesn’t seem to care (as evidenced by my being on this list).
i use the category “mobile” to indicate to my readers and myself that this post was written away from my home computer — either on my blackberry or another computer — and sent in via email. apparently because i blog a LOT and frequently away from my home computer (living in nyc means you’re often on the go), you see a many of my posts will contain this tag.
thanks for your input, thesacredpath

Tags and categories are treated identically by WP.com when it comes to the global pages.
And that definition of mobile makes total sense.
