how to activate blog
-
i haven’t received my activation email for my blog. i can sign in, but it says my blog isn’t activated. what can i do?
-
When you sign in, are you able to see the blue bar along the top? If so, you should be able to see a “Feedback” box to the top right. If so, go ahead and report this issue.
If not, please post that you can’t.

hi, i’m having the same problem. i just signed up for a new blog and checked my email. it contained the following:
“Your new WordPress.com blog has been successfully set up.
*Weblog Activation Link*
You must activate your blog before using it. Please click here:
/newblog/xxxxxx/
You can log in with the following information..”(xxxxxx above is a 6 character string) there is *no* link though and i’m looking at the original text email (with headers)
I’m apparently logged into the site because I see a blue bar at the top of the page with:
“My Dashboard, New Post, Add to Blogroll Howdy, iisdev [Sign Out, My Account] Next Blog »”
at the top of the page. However if I click on ‘My Dashboard’, ‘New Post’ or try to login here:
http://iisdev.wordpress.com/wp-login.php
it redirects me *BACK* to the original sign up form. what the heck is going on here?
can anyone post the url that we should be going to to activate (i’ll just append ‘/newblog/xxxxxx/’ onto it and see if it works).
thanks
iisdev

I’m just not getting the email no matter how many times I input my email address or how hard I press the submit button. Now, a week later, it doesn’t recognize my email address. Unfortunately, however, it does recognize that my particular address is taken. I just want my API Key, for the love of all things holy!

Best bet would be to contact staff when they open in a few hours via that support link at the upper right of this page. Be sure to mention the blog you tried to create as well as the email address that you used.

This reminded me of other recent problems with http:///

Actually I see it as well within my dashboard as well when I look at comments I left on other blogs. The links are like that on some of them.
