How to activate domain?
-
I need to find my blog IP to send to act now domains so they can point to my blog and get it up and running. however, I cant see my IP anywhere on wordpress. How do i do this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

WordPress.com blogs do not have static IP addresses, they are load balanced and the IP is subject to change at any time.
In order to map a domain you already own to a WordPress.com blog, you will need to update the name servers. This support page explains all the steps needed:

thank you for the answer.
Unfortunately I dont have this option on my blog. It says, in a red box around ‘Tellmemoreman” on the top right hand side of My Site landing page “This site cannot be accessed”.
I dont seem to have any admin options.

Let’s step back so I can make sure I understand what your end goal is.
Are you trying to map the custom domain tellmemoreman.com to a WordPress.com blog or are you trying to set up tellmemoreman.com to use the free WordPress software at a different web hosting company such as GoDaddy? What you need to do next will depend on where you intend to host the site.

Thanks for your help on this. Ok so i have my domain at Act Now Domains which is TellMeMoreMan. And i have linked this up with wordpress blog called in tellmemoreman. So Act Now Domains told me to give them the domain name or link so that they can point the domain ther and get it up and running. does that make sense?

Okay :) it’s not clear quite yet. I need to know where the blog called tellmemoreman will eventually be hosted—at WordPress.com or at another web hosting provider? The settings that Act Now Domains will use will depend on where the blog will be hosted.
To try to help clarify a little, there are two main parts to getting a website up and running. One is the server space where the files are stored—that is done by your web host. The other is the domain name—the domain is pointed to the web host once the web host gives you the proper DNS settings. So in your case, the blog needs to be setup first, and then the domain can be pointed at it. WordPress is free, open source software, so there are a number of places possible to setup a blog. WordPress.com is one such place, but there are many others and there are a few differences. Check out this help page which talks about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org and then let me know if you still have any questions:

Iv had the blog for a year plus on wordpress. But its been inactive since may. I reactivated the domain with act now domains. They told me to give them the location to where they should point it on wordpress.

Okay, I searched again and I don’t see any record of a blog named https://tellmemoreman.wordpress.com/ ever having been setup at WordPress.com and I also don’t see any past domain mapping purchased associated with the tellmemoreman.com domain.
Because of this, it sounds to me like you may have had it setup through a different web hosting company and not here at WordPress.com.
If you can find out who your web hosting provider was in the past, then you may be able to contact them to see if there is any chance a backup of the previous setup still exists (it may not if the account hasn’t been paid up for the past six months though). Try checking to see if you can find any payment record or receipt in your email for a web hosting provider. That may help lead you to find out where your past blog was setup before.
The domain is separate, it’s just the address. You need to find out where the hosting was.
If you’d like to start a brand new blog here at WordPress.com, that is a different story and I can help you with that. It would be a completely fresh start though.

So my site existed on wordpress. i took a screen shot of the landing page but i cant share it here. Can we swap emails to talk more?
i have ‘my site’ and tellmemoreman all over wordpress when i log in. but not the ability to edit anything. Every time i click on tellmemoreman from wordpress it directs me to act now domains where is says ‘this site is coming back soo. the domain is parked free’. Act now domains told me its up and running but they need to point to a hosting site.
Im sorry nit all this is really confusing

Wait. I decided to try to find your blog at https://web.archive.org/ and I found it!
https://web.archive.org/web/20141227204904/http://tellmemoreman.com/
That blog is using WordPress but was never setup at WordPress.com. You setup your past blog at an outside company other than WordPress.com. I have no way of knowing what company you used for your past WordPress setup.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/Because tellmemoreman.com was never setup at WordPress.com in the past, I can see two possible options for you at this point:
1. Start fresh with a new web hosting account and setup WordPress there (this is how your site was setup before)
2. Start fresh with a brand new WordPress.com blog
You need to setup a blog first and only then can you find out what to tell Act Now Domains.

thank you for finding it. i appreciate it
so my old blog and all the posts are gone for good? I dont mind starting a new blog. Its just that i had some posts i worked really hard on. And it kind of sucks that i have no history of ever doing a blog now.
Only option is to start a fresh?

I don’t know. I would recommend contacting your web host to ask!
