How to add a blog to the marketing list
-
There appears to be no way to add another site to the marketing list. Every single “sharing” setting in WP leads to the wp.com site marketing list, but I cannot add my blog. All I get is offers to move the blog or change the DNS to wp.com. NO THAT IS NOT WHAT I WANT.
Have you discontinued the sharing function? Have you discontinued allowing independent domains?
Also, I cannot seem to DELETE sites that I no longer admin.
HALP! This whole setup is just not working for me. :(

Hi there!
I’m not sure I follow. Could you let me know what exactly are you trying to achieve? Which marketing list are you referring to?

Seeing how all the sites under your account are Jetpack-connected, this article may help https://jetpack.com/support/sharing/.
If you meant something else, please let me know; I’ll be happy to clarify further.
I cannot seem to DELETE sites that I no longer admin.
Oh, no worries, I can help with that. What are the URLs of the sites you need disconnected?

When you click SHARING in JetPack, it sends you to the list of domains that are on your account. That list is called the MARKETING list. I cannot ADD or DELETE anything from this list.
I admin MANY sites. Jetpack/wordpress.com has become nothing but an irritation. I’d REALLY like these sites set up to crosspost to FB, and the ones CURRENTLY ON THE LIST are working, BUT I cannot delete or add any new sites.
THESE ARE NOT WP.COM SITES, THESE ARE MY CLIENTS’ SITES.
I need to add playeronearcadeservices.com and I need to delete https://sdcconcreteconstruction.com/
This should not be so difficult.

You must have your site connected to a WordPress.com account to use that feature of Jetpack, so that will be a necessity if you want to use Publicize.
If you haven’t set up Jetpack on
playeronearcadeservices.comand connected it, you should set that up now. Also, since it sounds like you’re having trouble with Jetpack, I recommend you contact them directly for their help in getting things sorted out. You can reach them via their contact form.THESE ARE NOT WP.COM SITES, THESE ARE MY CLIENTS’ SITES.
Any site connected through the Jetpack plugin will show on your WordPress.com dashboard where you can use a single dashboard to manage all those sites. To remove a site from your account, you need to log into the site via wp-admin, then follow the steps here to disconnect Jetpack:
Once you do that, the site will be removed from your WordPress.com account.
Since this seems to be a problem with Jetpack, please get in touch with them for further assistance.
Thanks!

ARGH.
What happens is that I CONNECT via Jetpack, I get that list on WP.com and the site is not there. I cannot add the site at that point.
Jetpack sends me to the right place, but I can’t add the site.
????
Is there an alternative to jetpack and/or wp.com? This is insane.

AHA!!
FIGURED IT OUT!!
My hubs had inadvertently set up jetpack incorrectly. I think I’ve got it fixed.
Thanks for getting back, even tho it was a config issue.
I still think this software is too complex for its own good.
