How to add a byline that will automatically appear in each post
-
I’m setting up a blog that will have many different bloggers. Right now, no bylines are appearing under the date as they do in other blogs I follow. I don’t know the first thing about code. How can I set it so that all posts have bylines by default?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Some themes show bylines all the time, others only show the byline when you have more than one author, I think 2010 will show the byline when you have two or more authors active.
Try adding a new user and have the new user write and publish a Post – you should then see bylines

We already had two users when one wrote the first post. We’re afraid to add more until we figure out how to attribute which posts to whom.
Thanks for the help! Any suggestions would be appreciated!

has the second author also made a Post that is published? Won’t get the second byline until at least that happens
Looks like you have bylines to me

That’s not the blog I need help with. It’s the one I have listed above. We have two people, and the byline has yet to appear.
Thanks! -
You may find this thread answers your question, explaining different ways to do this, and the limitations of what you can and can’t do with WordPress.com.
I hope you find this helpful!

Thanks! That was helpful! It seems like it all comes down to choosing the right theme. I’m using Twenty-ten right now, but perhaps I chose the wrong one for a byline. Can someone tell me which themes WILL include the byline automatically? That seems to be the solution, but it doesn’t tell you in the details of the themes themselves.
Thanks!
