How to add a Google Widget?

    I went to the Google+ widget creator, but when I copied the HTML code into a text/html widget box, it kept popping up on the preview as “configure in widget settings” instead of bringing up the actual widget itself.

    Hey there,
    The html/text widget does not support any javascript code. If the code you are adding has some javascript, the widget might not work as expected.
    The about me widget is a good alternative, that you might want to try. You can just link your google plus profile from the about me widget along with links to your other social profiles
