How to add a link to your blog if people click on your Gravatar
-
Will people find a link to your blog if they click on your Gravatar (say, when you leave a comment on someone’s blog post)? Not if you haven’t added your blog’s URL to your Gravatar profile. If you would like to do this but haven’t yet, (1) open your WP Dashboard, (2) click on the “Users” link in the left-hand column, (3) click on “My Profile,” (4) scroll down the page until you see the heading “Links,” (5) add the URL for your blog, and (6) click on “Update Profile.” Check out my gravatar profile page to see how this adds both a thumbnail photo of my homepage and a link to it: http://en.gravatar.com/born2bdigital

Maybe not you, but what prompted me to offer this information is discovering that some of my blogging friends (who have been blogging for a long time and have very successful blogs) didn’t know about this. After two of them thanked me in the last 2 days for letting them know, I thought that it might help someone else.

Indeed it might but this having to go through is a temporary situation. Normally we enter our Gravatar information directly on the Gravatar site using these guides:
