How to add a map from TripAdvisor to my blog
-
I’m totally new to this. I have a travel map on my profile page on TripAdvisor. That website says I can add that map to my blog. It lets me cut/paste the HTML language on its site that creates the map, but it doesn’t explain where or how I should add that to my wordpress blog. When I tried putting it into a post, all I posted was the HTML text; not the map it is supposed to create. When I tried pasting it into a link, that didn’t work either. I realize my question starts from someone else’s website, but can anyone help me here please? The map of where I’m traveling is a neat ingredient of my travel blog, IF I can insert it and let my viewers keep up with where I’m at!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there
You can paste the HTML code in the text widget on your bloghttp://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/text-widget/. If that code is non-java. Because wordpress doesn’t support java script. -
Your blog is private and we Volunteers cannot see it. You haven’t posted the TripAdvisor code here between backticks so we can see it. So we can’t opffer you any relevant advice, aside from telling you that you can use Google maps and providing this link to the instructions http://en.support.wordpress.com/google-maps/
The backtick is on the key to the immediate left of the number 1 key on your keyboard. It’s on the same key as the tilde ~ but in lower case. If you do post the code here between backticks then we will be able to examine it and tell you if it can be used on a free hosted WordPress.com blog or not. (Restricted codes we cannot use include iframes and Javacript http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/)
if you don’t want to do that then may I suggest you contact Staff directly with your issue?
