How to add a non-static page?
-
I am trying to add a new blog page to http://www.gizmotiff.com. I only get an option to add a page which is static and basically just one entry. Is there any way I can add a new page on which I can post blogs as well?
Thanks in advance!

Each of our WordPress.com blogs comes with one front page that automatically updates with our blog posts and feeds our RSS stream. Here’s a good introduction on the difference http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
Having said this, if you use categories or tags on your blog entries, you can highlight those entries by creating tabs in your navbar which are linked to those categories. When someone clicks on the link, a page with those entries is dynamically created. Custom Menu http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/ The theme you are presently using, Under the Influence, is one of the themes that currently supports this feature.

No, it is not possible to post to multiple pages in one blog.
You can use categories to organize your blog posts.
But by definition, pages are static and have one article per page.
You can post only to your dynamic blogging page (sometimes called ‘home page’ or ‘front page’);
you have only one dynamic blogging page per blog.http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/

I was going to tell the OP about custom menus next: looks like we are posting as a team… -
Thanks for you help. I will probably use categories to organize into tabs.
Looks like I will have to post the blog on the home page for it to show up on the tab. Is there anyway wordpress can generate the tab based on drafts (unpublished blogs)? I guess not?

Why would any author want to see their drafts published? By definition “drafts” are something you write with the intention to revise.
I certainly have drafts of potential posts which are not ready for public viewing! I would definitely not want to see them visible to the public!!!

Yes, I agree with you. I was only checking if there was some way I could see the blog on the tab without posting on the home page.
