How to add a poll to the Alert Box in Vigilance theme
-
Can I insert a Polldaddy poll into the Vigilance alert box? I tried, but it just shows the Polldaddy code and not the poll itself. I’m sure it is just a matter of adding the correct html code, but I don’t know what to use. It displays fine in a post, but no in the box. Please look at my blog and let me know if something can be done. Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Apparently shortcodes don’t work in the alert box (I tried the audio player and the youtube shortcodes as well). You can put your poll in the sidebar instead.

Thank you. I just tried that. The poll box is WAYYYY too big to go in the sidebar. Is there html I can use to put it in the Alert Box?
-
Apparently not. At least I can’t.
You could use a link in the alert box to a page with your poll on it.
Or put a link into the title of a page with the poll on it. It will show up as a navigation tab on top of your blog. -
“It will show up” should be
“Or put a link into the title of a page with the poll on to show up as a navigation tab on top of your blog.”
[sorry for typo] -
ARRRGH! This is what happens when multi-tasking:
Or just make a page with the poll on it. It will show up in your top navigation bar.
{I really wish we could edit posts here…} -

“The poll box is WAYYYY too big to go in the sidebar”:
You can edit the poll to select one of the slim designs.
