how to add a Read More or Page Jump to a page with list of content

I am listing various techniques to my Tools page, but don’t want them to be in one long scrolled content down the page.
I tried adding a Read More tag but it’s not working.
I also tried to figure out how to do the Page Jumps, with no success.Can you please tell me how to do this?
