How to add a SEO block to a theme who have not included it?
-
Im using one of the FSE theme, made by your guys, Automattic – https://wordpress.com/theme/tenaz
It is missing a SEO Block, where I can edit the templates’ SEO properties.
As it is now, I can’t edit templates like
archive, which is the templates of pages like Categories, and then I am missing the option to define the Meta description of these pages.I got YOAST installed on my site, but it doesn’t offer editing for FSE Templates. Only for entities like posts or pages.
Is there a way to solve this?
Thank you.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi! As far as I’m aware, Yoast adds the taxonomy (tag, category) meta description settings within the category management, instead of via blocks in the template. You’d likely want to be managing your taxonomies from the WP Admin view in order to access those settings however!
I found a little information about this here:
https://yoast.com/taxonomy-seo-categories-tags/I hope that helps, if you do have any other questions let us know!
