How to Add a Theme's Home page to WordPress – Dashboard – Pages
-
I bought a theme called Digitalis, and I currently have it deployed to a site I’ve decided to build myself hosted through hostgator.
I’m having an issue with respect to my site homepage not appearing under dashboard – pages. Please note, the home page does show up on dashboard – appearances – menus list; and home is also a live page on my site, obviously, for some reason it just isn’t in dashboard pages. I’ve scoured the search engines and haven’t found a solution.
Do I need to somehow convert the existing theme’s home page to be static somehow, if my theme even allows for it that is? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hi exhalezeeco,
If your site is self-hosted you will likely want to direct your question to the WordPress.org forums:
In general, though, did you create a specific page called Home? In order for a page to appear in the dashboard you must create it first. When I looked up your Digitalis theme to see if it supported static pages I saw this alert:
This theme hasn’t been updated in over 2 years. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.

It’s possible you may encounter glitches with that theme.Hope that helps!
