How to add a ticker

@3rdculturemom,
if you paste an html ticker from http://www.tickerfactory.com, it is possible to have it in your sidebar. you just have to make sure you choose the smaller version.or you can choose to post it in a page – not a post – and set the page to be a “sticky” one. You can learn how to do that at http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/07/i-want-a-certain-post-at-the-top-on-my-blog/
whether the url of your ticker will allow you to further edit the ticker depends on what kind of ticker you have.
for example, i have a scrapbooking ticker, and when i click on the ticker it takes me to the url where i can edit/update my information. this is the url:
http://www.tickerfactory.com/scrapbooking/wYXVhQf/
this is just an example, and you won’t be able to update the info here because you don’t have the PIN/password!i have an event ticker and when i click it, the ticker url doesn’t allow me to edit/update info, because there is no nessecity of doing it! you can check it at http://www.tickerfactory.com/ezticker/ticker_designer.php .
if you need proof that my tickers do fit in my sidebar, please visit http://shogoto.wordpress.com
i hope my explanation helps. thanks to you i found this wonderful item, and i’d love to hear that you have one too!
