How to add Adsense Code in your blog

I’m trying to put adsense code in my wordpress blog. I’ve recently published blog (free signup) but couldt find any way to modify templates.From documentation I learned to modify files at manage -> file menu, but I cant find this menu in my admin section.
Please advice.
